Marshall's have one rule, get to the track to Marshall after you just raced & most don't even do that! As a Marshall you are suppose to do the best of your ability to get the job done within a respectable time... I don't call walking over to a car at a slow pace, watching the race or even standing in a group on the track while another race is taking place talking about your last race with your Buddy's &/or talking on a cell phone a good Marshall...
Once again it's not about who's fault it is that the car flipped over it's about what every Marshall needs to do in a respectful manner... That's why they are on the track no?! If we keep saying we're lucky to be Marshaled at all then that just gives them more of a reason to do whatever they want!

OW MY GOD how hard is to understand that this issue will never change. There will allways be people unhappy about marshalling, and I get upset too but when i marshall i try and do the best I can and if you the racer dont like it then too bad. I myself have a bad ankle that gives me trouble all the time and i still do the best i can.---its in our nature and there will always be people yelling and screaming. Its just how it is and allways will be. This is RACING things happen not only in marshalling but car problems happen all the time too. Westerfield were did you come from?? lol --let me guess mark you have no problems marshalling at your track?

Gangsta you wanna talk about others starting trouble I think you should check yourself because with the way you pick on & down the electric conversion guys at every race on & off the forum Lester is lucky they still come & support his track & hobby shop. Yes this hobby is about having fun playing with little toy cars BUT you guys didn't mention how much time & money people spend on their cars getting them ready only to have more f-up weekends then fun enjoyable ones mainly because of problems some of us don't wish to address. You guys say "It's not doing the hobby or track any good." Well as we all know not talking about it will hurt the hobby just the same! Need I remind you when Lester posted on the front page that he's closeing the track... What did people cry about???? (Hacking, Bad Marshalling, The track layout was too hard, etc...) hmmmm seems like the we still have the same problems at hand! I wonder why, maybe cuz they were just brushed off to the side instead of resolved the way they should have been.
I know I've stated some good points/facts in my post so we can deal with the problems the right way or just keep covering them up...

I guess you guys feel covering up & lying is a better way to go about a problem then talk about it so it can be resolved... Maybe I'm mistaken but I thought these forums are for talking about whatever as long as it's RC related... What dose it matter where it is (front page/back page) you think people will not see/read it. This is not about Wolcott, it happens all over!
I read in forums & over hear so many times how a number one discouragement for new & existing racers in this hobby is; Hacking, Bad Marshalling acts & lying is a BIG TURN OFF!!! There you have it 3-main reasons why people turn away from tracks &/or the hobby all together! What are we living in a world of cover up & lies?! I know thats no way to run a business & I'm sure you know that too Mark.W. or maybe not...

I don't want it to sound like none of the new people to the track didnt help because you did, you know who you are who did. but you also know who you are who didnt.
Btw , i would like to try to race this weekend and have nobody to pit for me and marshall, if anyone knows of someone who will let me know and i'll buy them food and drinks as well

My buddy Dave came with me to help me with my first race, He marshall'd at least 10 races and he was only there to do it for me after my rounds since i have a bad back and i can't jump around. Some of you had the nerve to yell at him because he missed 1 flip on your car. It was our first race and he was out there every round he could just to get shit talked too!!! while some of you never went out at all to take your turn... I hope he will come back to help me out as i dont have anyone else to take my turns being a marshall. I feel like the locals took their turns out there but some of the the travelers didnt. My buddy left at 4 and Lester came over to see if he was still there to help marshall one of the mains. I mean god if i could physically do it i would be honored to be out there during one of the mains in heat of the action. some people are just plain lazy at heart.

plus 1 gangsta,the cmain had i think 10 buggies or more when the next race ranthere were only 6 marshalls i covered the top right watched 3 corners if i was too slow sorry hard to watch all 3 and for the ones that pack and leave after there mqin dont count there laps in the series

We should have a race with no marshalls. If you crash, you run off the stand and marshall yourself. Maybe than you will learn to appreciate getting marshalled at all.

If you're that upset about the marshalling speak to the people that don't get out there and do it. Guilt them into not packing up after their main and remind them it's their turn to get out to the track.
Keep it civil this is a hobby and they are toy cars and we're here to have fun.
And one last point to my rant... STOP CRASHING AND COUNTING ON THE MARSHALLS SO YOU CAN FINISH THE RACE. If you crash and the marshall take a few to get to you, it's still YOUR falt you crashed.
Take some responsibility for your less than prefect driving Joker.
